Is It Good Enough?

I am always asking myself, “Is this good enough?”.  Is there a better way to code this same functionality?  Can it be more efficient, better optimized, easier for future development?  This question is built into my personality, so it’s comes as second nature.

Just yesterday I polled two of my peers on their approach to a problem in hopes that they could shed some light on a better way to code it.  Sure my code worked, and was functioning beautifully, but was it good enough?

Are you asking yourself this question?  If not, maybe you should consider it.  It makes you a better developer/designer and in the end both you and your client win.
